No...I have a use for it...retrofitting display lighting in a china cabinet. I found the 18w predecessor at the Costco-Centennial Hills at the same $19.99 price. It appears to be a heavier, better-constructed unit that draws less energy and still puts out the same 1200 lumens. The 23w unit is much lighter and seems to be rather flimsy.
