Thanks for sharing your opinions. We don't have any experience with any other high-end blenders except for Vitamix. While I initially balked at the price, we eventually bought one from Costco and its ability to blend is certainly amazing and worth the price. We don't regret the purchase. Maybe depending on the usage, Blentec is a good option for some people. I think it's good for Vitamix to have a few competitors to keep them on their toes :)
