I have this tree, new for 2017. I like the tree a lot. It was very easy to assemble as all you need to do is slide the pieces together. The electricity is through the center pole and connection is made when you connect each section.
You can alternate between white and color lights and you can have them fade off and back on again. It has a foot button for on/off. It has an in line control for changing the lighting pattern. It also has a separate wireless remote as well.
A couple of negative items:
- No twinkle mode; that I've seen. .
- No outlets to plug any ornaments or a lighted star into. (Hint: run an extension cord through the tree after you assemble it but before you decorate.)
- The top of the tree is a bit flimsy for putting up a star. I takes some work to secure it.
Overall, I like this tree.
