I totally agree with Mitch Miller, but for different reasons. Mine came complete with a large population of grubs of some sort, and there were Amazon discussions with this product about bugs as well. I had already repotted one houseplant and used it on some outside containers, but I opened the bag for the remainder, hoping the birds would get to the grubs.I'm repotting the indoor plant with a different medium. Costco refunded my money, but were no longer selling this at the time. (I couldn't carry it back, and they didn't ask for it). Three years ago I used miracle gro potting mix on some houseplants. I put house plants in a plastic pot inside decorative pots. The following year, when I removed a plant from the decorative pot, there were three huge roaches--nothing native to this area--in the pot. I was so freaked out I just dumped them out, and now I wish I'd killed them, because I now apparently have a small population of them outside, under my deck. I will never, ever, EVER buy anything Miracle Gro again. Did I say NEVER???
