First use a good lube oil A1 on the wheel roller bearings, on the lid joints on the folding plastic top, and on the drain plug cap, I sealed on the plastic caps that the chest sits on too with a top line glue, now after it is put together go out an purchase a top tier car spray on wax, spray the entire unit inside and out, wait 5 minutes wipe down, this will keep the rust down that the one star people bit. Ch about. Go to front gate.com and order a tommy bahama cover for $29 bucks, free shipping using their coupon code easily found on the web, saves 8 bucks, and enjoy it, this is not made to throw a block of ice into, or hold ice for 2 days, go buy a heavy duty camping cooler for that! It's made to look good around my 370z in my garage, or out in the back yard around the BBQ or pool.
